Welcome to ICAR2019
It is a pleasure to invite you to participate the 30th International Conference on Arabidopsis Research (ICAR2019), which will be held on June 16-21, 2019 in Wuhan, China. ICAR is a yearly conference rotating between North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe. The conference covers all aspects of plant biology on Arabidopsis as well as other plant species, generally attracting about 800 scientists worldwide to present and discuss their new discoveries.
The 18th ICAR was held in Beijing in 2007 when plant research was just taking off in China. During the past decade, China has made tremendous progresses in plant biology and is now playing a pivotal role in many research fields. We are very happy to welcome ICAR back to China.
Wuhan is located in the central part of China. It is a major transportation hub, with direct flights to many countries. It has beautiful scenery and a long history, being one of the birthplaces of the brilliant ancient Chu Culture. The Yangtze River passes through the city, giving Wuhan a spectacular night view of the skyscrapers by the riversides. Wuhan also has a strong plant research community, especially in Huazhong Agricultural University, a local host of ICAR2019. We will work together to make ICAR2019 a memorable conference!
We look forward to welcoming you to Wuhan for the ICAR2019, from all parts of the world.
